Welcome Back! We will need the following items to have a productive year in Second Grade, if you need assistance with any of these items, please do not hesitate to let me know.
-12 Sharpened Pencils (Your child will need more throughout the year)
-Box of 24 crayons
-A highlighter
-3 glue sticks (will need more throughout the year)
-erasers
-scissors (please write your child's name on them)
-Pencil Box
-3 heavy duty two-pocket folders (pick one to use as a daily take home folder and label your child's name on the front and then on the inside write stay home on the left side and write bring right back on the right side)
-1 notebook
-3 boxes of tissues for the classroom (you can send one in at the beginning, then one in the winter, and one later in the year if it is more convenient for you)
-1 box of gallon ziploc bags (we will use this for our AR bags in school and for bringing home)
-addition and subtraction flashcards (please send them into school with your child, you might want to have a set at home to practice too)
RESPONSIBILITY IS IMPORTANT IN SECOND GRADE, YOUR CHILD WILL HAVE HOMEWORK MONDAY-THURSDAY NIGHTS; SO IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR CHILD TO BRING HIS/HER TAKE HOME FOLDER TO SCHOOL EACH NIGHT AND FOR YOU TO CHECK IT FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND HOMEWORK.
