Mr. Jon Silkowski

Hello and thank you for taking the time to check out my webpage. I am the high school special education teacher at the Madison Central School District. It is my job to work together with various students that have special needs within grades 7-12, as well as their teachers, in order to provide an appropriate and effective individualized education for them. I have worked in this position since February of 2011 and have been nothing but impressed with the dedication of the community and faculty to educating our students during my time here.

I was granted my B.A. Degree in Adolescence and Special Education, Social Studies, 7-12 from Niagara University in 2009. During the winter of 2010, I obtained my M.S. Degree in the same content area from LeMoyne College. I am a graduate of the Oneida High School class of 2005. In the near future, I hope that I can continue my education and take some non-matriculated classes along the way that will allow me to continue to grow as an educator. It is my hope that I can eventually become a coach within the community; I am planning on receiving my coaching certification in the upcoming year at some point.

Outside of the classroom, I am an avid sports fan. Depression usually sets in quickly, being a lifelong loyal fan of the Buffalo Bills, Syracuse Orange, and Toronto Blue Jays. I really enjoy golfing and try to play as much as I can, although I don't seem to ever make any improvement. I enjoy spending time with my family, fiance, friends, and dog after school. If you ever have any questions for me, do not hesitate to ask!
